Painting of my boyfriends two friends, BoBo and Nisha. BoBo is a marine- Nisha is first generation American, her family is originally from India.

When Colin first showed me a photograph he had taken on his iphone for this image, I was s truck by the composition and their expressions. The photo was pretty awful quality XD 2mpx!

This work is pretty large- probably 2 X 3 feet? XD

My fourth painting with oils. I'm getting much better at it. I can't wait to do my next pieces!


This work will be hanging at the 40th Biannual Senior Art Show at Fulton Gallery in Salisbury University.

You are pretty good with oils, I'm impressed this is your 4th painting. When I was learning I spent a whole term painting awful pots and plastic flowers :_)

Haha, well, I did that as well, but my first work isn't on DA. XD I spent a semester on still lives and corners of floors (studying reflection).

...

I hated it. I much prefer figures. :<

The composition really is great!
A big improvement from your 3rd, definitely.
I like the blending of the colors a lot, especially on the skin. :]
